Amanda graduated with Master of Music (Opera Performance) from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2023.
During her time at the university, she was fortunate to have worked with the Victorian Opera company on several occasions, understudying the principal role of “Olivia” in Schubert’s “The Friends of Salamanca” (2021) and performing as the “Squirrel Monkey” in Joe Twists “The Grumpiest Boy in the World” (2023) at Arts Centre Melbourne.
Roles in opera include ‘Titania’ in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen and ‘Papagena’ in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and Venus in Blow’s Venus and Adonis. Other roles studied include Despina in Mozart’s Cosí Fan Tutte (2023).
She recently won First Prize in the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic (RMP) Aria Competition (2025).
Other prizes include finalist in the MCM Aria/Concerto Competition (2021), Opera Scholars Australia Aria Competition (2021), the 39th National Liederfest (2022), Ringwood Eisteddfod Aria Finals (2025), runner up in the Boroondara Vocal Championship (2025), and last year’s RMP Aria Competition, where she humbly received third prize (2024).
Passionate about sacred music, Amanda has performed as the soprano soloist in Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio with Victoria Chorale (2022), in “Sing Noel” and “Tchaikovsky’s Sacred Music” with the Tudor Choristers (2024), and in a range of concerts with Kew Philharmonic, including Zipoli’s Vespers of St Ignatius and “Stella Splendens” featuring music from the Llibre Vermell. She will join them later this year for Vivaldi’s Gloria.
She also hopes to present a recital of classical Filipino and Spanish music later this year, in celebration of her heritage (2025).
